Merry Christmas!!

We had a very long, but fun day. We did our own 4 Christmases, making stops at Whitney’s mom’s, grandma’s, Aunt’s, and dad’s.

Staff/Student Basketball

So once a year my co-workers and I play against the boys and girls basketball team. Well, actually last year I did not play for it was a week before the wedding and I was not going to chance a broken nail…or nose! This year I was back out there trying to play a game that I officially only played for one season in MIDDLE SCHOOL! I looked like a big DORK! But it was fun. This is a picture of me and my D/HH coworkers Joy and Wendy who also played.

This is our church directory photo. As my step-mother says, “Wow, Whitney, you’re finally looking older!” I think I am going to take that as a compliment. ;)

Cute kitten becomes bad kitten!

SOOOOOOO that cute kitten is quickly becoming the bad kitten. Our days have been filled with “Gideon, stop playing with the ornaments” squirt squirt “Gideon! Get off the counter” squirt squirt Crash! “Oh what was that!? Gideon!!” squirt squirt squirt!!! This weekend we found him actually IN the tree. Yeah he’s real cute. We have lost about 4-6 ornaments. And if you look at the tree, it is only decorate from the middle up now. Oh kittens!

Winter Weatherland

It was Whitney’s mother’s birthday this weekend. She chose to eat at a local restaurant near the church. While others maybe enjoying the northern winter, we were enjoying the wonderful weather of FL! Even though it looked like it would rain in a bit, it was a bit cool at 73 degrees. A light jacket was nice. It was pleasant hanging out and eating with the fam.

"Sunday, Sunday so good to me. Sunday, Sunday all I hoped it would be!"

We spent our Sunday afternoon at the Verizon store (Whitney got a new phone!!) cutting down the parent's tree limbs, cleaning, and decorating the Christmas tree. d- cutted, w-cleaned. We were kind of picky on what went on the tree this year; some of the old college stuff had to go. The cats thoroughly enjoyed the process too. Gideon had a ball with the lights and the tissue paper everything was wrapped in.

After which, Derick was so kind to finish hanging all the pictures on the walls. Derick and Gideon were so tuckered out that they fell asleep on the recliner before dinner.

Xbox 360 LIVE

Soooooo my husband had invested in this thing called an Xbox 360. Anyone ever heard of it? Well now that we have internet (we haven’t had it for several months now) I believe he has turned into a complete dork. J (Still love you babe!) In the picture he has “cool” headset on playing Xbox live with his friends. (If you don’t know what that means; they are playing online with each other, like a computer. He is the only one at the house. His friends are at their house playing with him.)

Florida vs. Alabama Game

Soooo my man Derick wanted to host a bit of a game party. He made wings and did the whole set up with the chips, veggies, and dip. I think the brothers and mom had a good time. They were yelling and screaming at all the good points. My step-dad Jim was laid up after foot surgeryand couldn't come.

Gideon

While my mother, Lynn, was walking in the neighborhood, she hears this noise. Meeeee meeeee….so can you guess what it was? He spent the first couple of nights in her garage. Can you guess who has him now? Would anyone like a kitten? We really do love him and are okay with keeping him, but would be willing to give him to someone to love. He is a pretty good kitten. He and the Don (Sebastian’s nickname) get along very well. They play and wrestle all the time. We are thinking he is about 9 weeks at this point, but not really sure. He is very loving and wants to be around you most of the time. Right now he sleeps in the bathroom at night and when we are not home, but runs around the house when we are here. Derick swears he has supper kitty powers. He has about a 4 feet vertical jump. He hasn’t really got his meow yet. It is very faint and doesn’t use it much. It is kind of fun to have a kitten around again.
