Another milestone week!

Another milestone week this week! O'lena has moved into size 2 diapers and 3-6 months clothes, learned how to hold her own bottle, eat cereal, AND ROLL OVER!! It has been amazing. She is growing so fast! Besides all the developments with O'lena, life has been a bit crazy. It seems like drama has picked back up at work and I really don't want to deal with it. But I am excited for spring break and to be heading up to see my grandparents this week. We are making it a short trip because we want to get back to finish the shower..... :):):):) Man, it just started to pour here!!! It is making the house smell really good. We have the windows and doors open because the weather has been so nice. It is even thundering out. oooooooooo
Well here are some good pictures from the last couple of weeks.

This is O'lena at her first official "play date." This is my friend's daughter, who is three, sitting with O'lena. She was very good with here. She was even holding her and O'lena was just fine with it. Okay so my computer is not allowing me to move my pictures around the way I want to so they are out of orders...sorry.
This is O'lena eating cereal for the first time. I think she spit more out then I even put in her mouth! But after some practice she was getting the hang of it. She even was grabbing hold of my hand and pulled it towards her mouth when she wanted more. It was amazing. We took plenty of pictures but this was my favorite. It was the "I'm not sure what my mom is giving me" face. This is O'lena and mommy at the soccer filed to watch daddy play soccer. His team didn't win but we did have fun.
Derick's "action shot." No goal this time, but it was still good. We enjoy watching him play.Daddy and O'lena after the game. This is an awesome picture!! Yes, so every mom needs to have pictures of her baby sleeping! She was just so darn cute. This was when she was taking a nap yesterday. Of course it was right before we had to leave to go somewhere so I was going in to wake her up. I couldn't pass up the cuteness.
O'lena hanging out outside. She was just being cute.
So Derick decided it would be a good idea to dress up the cat. I could not believe he Sebastian him do it. When I came in the cat was just lying there allowing Derick to button up O'lena's outfit. It was really funny when he tried to get up and walk around. Sebastian just kind of hobbled around and then flopped down and whined. My favorite picture of the week! She really likes to chew on cloth. She loves her blankies and any bib that we have on her. She like to suck on her hand too. I thought she looked just like Linus on the peanuts. Here she is holing her own bottle during church today. It was Palm Sunday too so that is why she is holding a palm frown. She held on to it for the whole service. Derick even processed in with her with the other children this morning. It was so adorable! He had her waving her little palm. I about died! So if you haven't been watching LIFE on Discovery you should totally chec it out. It is beautiful, and very interesting. I still can not figure out how they get some of the shots. It is on sunday night at 8pm EST.
Her is video of O'lena rolling over for the first time. It was last week Sunday that it happened. I had just put her on her stomach and came back to check on her and found her like that. I ran really fast to get my Flip and totally caught it on video. It was so great! She has rolled over a couple of times for the sitter but not for Derick yet. She really hasnt done it again for me either. We know it will happen again soon :):)

I am three months today!!

And my mom insists on torturing me. She promised that she would never put a big flower on my head, but she lied!! Twice! She bought 2!! I am so not going to like this picture when I get older!! She better not show it on my first date or any other significant time of my life! Besides the flower, I did have a fun "three months old" day today. We went to church, then mom and me spent time outside watching daddy and Uncle Bryan make a garden. Uncle Kevyn came to hang out too. I slept and ate then played on my Tiny Love gym. (Play mat on the floor with fun things to look at and I can kick hard to make fun noise' it i my favorite.) I am excited to go to Mrs. Wendy's house tomorrow. Though I am not so sure about this time changing thing.

things i forgot to mention

While i was writing out the "announcing to everyone that the blog has been updated" email, I remember I forgot to mention a couple of things....

*Yes, O'lena did pee on her daddy after her bath
*Check out my women's group blog at http://umwcircleofhope.blogspot.com/
*Very excited about the new Alice in Wonderland movie. We did a hole big unit thing on it at school. Derick and I are even doing a "date night" this week to go see it on IMAX 3D! So stoked!!
*THE BEST NEWS EVER!!!!--Andrew LLoyd Webber had a sequel to the Phantom of the Opera that just opened on Broadway!! I had no idea until my friend Cami called me this morning and told me! Very VERY excited!! It is called "Love Never Dies." Check it out here http://www.loveneverdies.com/

Yep

O'lena is 12 weeks

O'lena and daddy getting ready for a bath. They are both so stinking cute! The cutie patootie taking the bath. She is just so darn stinking cute, I just want to eat her. She likes her bath time too. She has really gotten good at kicking the water and making it splash.
Derick signed up for a men's soccer league and had his first game this past weekend and, well, I did managed to get a picture of the baby sporting her "Daddy's biggest fan" onezie I made her, I did forget to get any pictures of Derick. I do have a legitimate excuse....It was SOOOOOOO cold by the time they started playing that I couldn't move much. It was fun to watch though. He did a really good job. He even made a goal! I was very impressed. I promise to get some action shots for next time.

I realized I dont have many pictures with me and the baby so I wanted too take one a few mornings ago. She was very matchy that day. She had a matching onezie, hat, bib, and blanket. (Thank you Jessica :))The only thing that didn't match was her pants...but they "went" together. Yes, she is starting to have to wear bibs now. She is drooling like crazy! (We still blame it on Cousin Tighe teaching her how!) :)

What else is going on at our house? Nothing too terribly much... oh!!!! WE GOT TILE!!! Yes, we finally got tile for our shower that has been concrete walls for about a year now. I don't think it will actually make it onto the walls until spring break, but we have it! Speaking of breaks- I am SOOOOOOO mad with my school district!! So we booked tickets to go to Washington in July during weeks that I knew NOTHING would be going on for school. Summer school would be over and my prep for the new year would not have started yet. WELL- they decided to announce that summer school dates will be in July encompassing the exact dates we will be gone! I could not believe it! So that means added income from working summer school will be NONE, besides the fact that I thoroughly enjoy working it--the days are short, it's easy money, and I get to work with Deaf kids from the elementary school (they are so different from my "cool" older middle schoolers.) I would miss 9 out of the 15 day they are in session. Oh well. That is life.
Baby mama stuff-- so I kind of went through this "I am jealous of my sitter because she sees my baby more than I do" thing last week. I think I am over it now, but it came out of the blue and hit me hard. I have also been noticing my overreactions to news stories about babies being neglected and killed. I tend to get a bit weepy when I hear the sad stories now. I have this attachment to all babies now. I hope that is normal too.
What else?.....nothing much.....Just still getting used this new baby life. I hope everyone has a great week!
