Week of Birthdays!

First it was my co-worker's, Joy, surprise birthday party at the skating rink.

I think Derick had a good time too. They have an adult night on Mondays. Joy, I, and her friend Deanna are thinking about checking it out soon. Man, do I LOVE to rollarskate!

Next, was Bryan's birthday on the 25th. His sweet sixteen! It is a tradition that you get to choose whatever you want to eat for your birthday dinner and get to eat it on the fine china. Bryan wanted Publix chicken and beans from Sunny's.

The next day was Kevyn's birthday. Even though he wasn't going to have his official birthday meal until Saturday we all ended up over there eating and he got the traditions. He turned the big 1-4. I can't believe they are soooooo old!! I remember changing their diapers!!

The next day....yes the very next one...was Sebastian's birthday. Though no real traditions for him he did get an extra helping of food and some treats. I think he had a great day.

Saturday finally came and it was Kevyn's turn for his birthday dinner pick. Naturally he didn't want anything easy and wanted Derick to make ribs. Well he got ribs! 14lbs of them!

They were very yummy and hit the spot!

And that is it for the birthdays for awhile!! Next comes wedding and baby showers planned for a few of my friends. Good fun!

Show Phase 4

Believe it or not the next step is tile!! We are getting there, even though it hasn' t progressed since I took this picture several weeks ago. Derick is doing great by practing his tileing skills on a backboard he is putting together behind our utility sink in the garage. I'll get a picture when he is done.

Giant Radish!

Check out the huge radish some of students grew in the garden! They were all pretty flavorful, but none were this big! It was pretty hot too. I had forgotten how hot they actually were. It was pretty funny giving pieces to the kids. I got some great faces!
