WHAT A WEEK!!!!!!
What else is happening? I am hosting our Circle of Hope on Friday so this week I HAVE to clean my house. I disinfected after the sickness but there is dust everywhere and it is a mess like normal. But the windows are open and it is awesome! I know there was so much more I wanted to blog about but I cant remember any more. Oh I did finish a book this week. It was good. It was about an Amish girl. Now I am on to a book about a woman doctor in the 1800's. Only on chapter 3. So far so good.
Work has been a bit trying lately...it didn't help that I was trying to keep my cookies in my belly on Friday on a field trip. I have been out of my classroom alot lately because of IEPs and other things so the behavior of my students have declined dramatically. They are the kind of kids that need consistency (A LOT of consistency.) It is really getting annoying telling them every other second to stop touching each other. Oh well.
Looking forward for Thanksgiving! It should be a good time....FOOD!....(oh thats a good sign...I havent been looking forward for food in the last couple of days.) I just hope O'lena will be well. Okay...going to bed. Night

So much going on
I have also been a bit grumpy lately. I feel like I am always complaining about something, ie. daycare is way too expensive, I want to leave FM but cant, my house has dropped another $30,000, work is boring, the house is a mess, the baby is sick again...well you get the picture. Yeah poor O'leenee is sick again. She had another ear infection. She is feeling better now and is back to being her happy perfect self again. She is great when she is not sick. I love that little face.
I do want to thank everyone for all their thoughts and prayer for my family in the passing of my aunt. It has taken a tole on all of us, but she is not hurting any more. I cant talk about it much...
What else is happening???? I'm not sure. I think this is the first night home where i don't have to do school work or anything else in like..i dunno...three weeks or so. It has been so busy that I am bored. Does that make sense? All I want to do is the nothing bored, not the busy bored. Oh and go to bed early, but that's not going to happen because I want to blog and read. Well here are pictures. In somewhat of an order...
Halloween!!
Derick as an leper. He is so creative! I would never think of anything like that. I was just somewhat of a witch.
She is Pebbles from the Flintstones. Isn't she adorable!?!?!?! Mommy thinks so! We just went to a few of the neighbors' houses, then we just hung out at my parents to give out candy. We didn't have a lot of treaters so we have candy left and guess who is eating them....yeah and its not O'lena. If you cant see this either..it is raining out side. I love this picture. They were so cute together. He had put her out in it too. She loved it.
Camping in Highlands Hammock
Meeeee and leeeeneeeyyyy
Isnt she just cute?
Derick and his cast iron cooking. We had the best dinners ever!! The pot roast and corn bread was to die for. He really has a talent.
This is the tree filled with cement. It was suppose to keep it from falling over, but it got the limbs so heavy that they fell off anyways.
Here Quinton wanted to push the baby around. He did a great job. He will be a good big brother when the time comes. O'lena was like whatever....
O'lena and Quinton hanging out in the pop-up. Chrissy and Greg just bought a pop-up the same week we did. It was their first trip in it. Besides the baby falling out (there were a couple bungy cords missing that held the canvas closed) they loved it!
The family.
Mommy riding with O'lena. I forgot how much fun it was. I know mom has been pushing us to get one...i think it is a good idea.
Greg and Derick hanging out with the baby. Just-a-hanging out....

Holy crazy terror child
We had O'lena's first Open house for her daycare last week. It was fun going and being there for her. We ate cookies and made family hand prints. Here is daddy playing with O'leeny. She was showing us some of her favorite toys.
This is a the picture that they took of us together. They printed it out for us so I scanned it in. It was way better than the ones I had them take with my camera, O'lena was all over the place. I really like this. I think it is one of the best family pics in a long time.
I finally got her on video crawling for everyone. She even stood up for us too. This was the part of the day where she was a happy girl. I'm not sure what happened this weekend, maybe becuase she is sick but she has been a wholly terror, especially today. She is not running a fever anymore and eating well, but she was just a crazy girl today. Nothing would make her happy or keep her quite. She was just crazy. She doesn't want up or down or to sleep or to play. I really am hoping it is a phase. Crazy crazy holy terror child!

It is starting to get annoying...
This is starting to get annoying...I don't want to blame everything on the daycare, but.... we are sick again, bad. We even had to take a sick day off from work and daycare on Friday, and I don't like taking days off. O'lena has the running nose and cough again with the fever, but it is not high enough for us to be worried. She is sleeping a lot, which is a good thing. We took a five hour nap yesterday. I could not believe it. I have a head cold again. It is about the same thing she has but I can take good medicine for it. I was pretty lazy yesterday and I feel a lot better today so I am hoping to get some things done. The gun show is in town so Derick is off playing with his friends. I know he feels bad leaving us, but they had this planned for a while, and we are just boring sick babies.
I realized that I need to get some good video of her crawling and post it. I have not done that yet. I have video of her Army crawling but not good up on knees crawling. What else is she doing that is fun? She is somewhat waving bye-bye. It is cute. Ohhhhh so you know what was cute the first time, but totally not cute anymore? She is starting to get into the “I only want mommy” and the “separation anxiety” stage. I loved it at first because I was the comforter, the one she wanted. Well not she screams every time I put her down or walk away. The funny part is she is now coming and finding me. If I went to the bathroom or into the kitchen she listens to my voice and hunts me down with her crying self wanting to be picked up. She is now doing the baby thing of taking everything off the coffee table and eating it and/or throwing it on the floor. It has been cleared off. She has also dumped several cups of stuff onto the carpet, coke…juice….water…Gatorade…more water…. You think we would learn not to put it on the coffee table. I don’t think it has sunk in for us yet.
Awwww she just fell asleep in the swing…I should go clean a bathroom while she is out and I she doesn’t have to be attached at my hip or in sight of her at all times….hum clean bathroom or blog?......I can clean bathroom, only one not both then come finish blogging…okay BRB
15 minutes and most of a bathroom done before she started screaming. Any little noise will wake her up right now and if someone is not there she gets upset. I think that is why she (we) slept so long yesterday. She was in the swing and I was on the couch and every time she woke she saw I was still there sleeping and back to dreamland she went. She has binky and swinging still but we shall see how long that lasts. Yeah not long…ttyl

O'lena is 9months!
Actually at the moment I dont have any new pictures of her. I just posted them all last time. I guess I could take one now, but it is a process to get them all on the computer. I do have a picture of my class at the beach this pass week. We went to Lover's key for our end of our unit trip. It went so well. We had been learning about the beach, the oceans, the animals and everything like that. The kids were great, I was very proud of them. We had a blast! We even saw dolphins!!

Whats going on?????
A little this, a little that.
O'lena has another, but double ear infection. She is on some stronger meds and feeling better. Derick just sliced his finger with an engraving bit today at work. I really hope it heals. It is looking very swollen and hasn't stopped bleeding. It took a bit of convening to get him to have someone look at it, but I think he is glad that he did.
Me? I am taking the kids to the beach tomorrow for clean up and some fun. It is our first field trip so I am expecting it to go just perfect! haha
Other than that? Just getting annoyed on how messy the house is. Oh well.....
Camping over Labor Day
Derick's project was cooking. He has taken up the skill of dutch oven cooking and man is he good at it! I think he kind of likes it.
Derick and I also borrowed a camper from a friend from church with intention to check it out for purchase. Wellllllllllll.... we are purchasing it. I fell in love. It is a small one with stuff to fix up, but it is just the right size for us and we kind of like the work. It is much better then a tent any day! It was heaven with the baby too. It has AC and beds. Two good things on my list. I will have to take some more pictures of it when we get it out again. Over all it was a nice trip. For some reason I am really enjoying camping alot more now than I did as a kid. I'm not sure why...

O’lena is sick! :(
Well it has been three weeks at the daycare and we are finally sick. It actually took longer than I expected. She has been coughing at night so we took her in on Monday and they said she had some upper respiratory infection, but was fine. Well we went back today with a full blown ear infection in one ear and a soon to be infection in the other. Her first ear infections of her childhood. It was interesting trying to finagle things to get out of work in a hurry. It is a bit hard with my kid-os; see previous blog :)
There are good things about daycare too. She has learned many new things very quickly. She is pulling herself up and standing on her own! People keep telling me she is going to be walking soon. I really don’t like that idea! I don’t want that. I’m not ready for that. She had almost given up on baby food now too, but no teeth! She has been teething and acting like she will be getting teeth for forever now. But nothing to show for her effort. Luckily she is a good teething baby.
It has been raining like crazy here for the last week. Today was the first day we got sun; then it poured. Oh well. I don’t mind the rain when I am inside
Picture time...
Brannon passed out in my classroom one day last week. He is always the best help. I work him hard, if you couldn't tell..
This one was made by my aunt Sam. Please keep her in your prayers. She is suffering from cancer and her prognosis is not good.
The best and WORST day of my career!
Sooooooooooo I received my first autistic kid-o. (Well real autistic kid. I had one before that wasn’t diagnosed yet but we were working on it, and he was mild in comparison.) I had met my new one before and knew that he had very good behaviors, but some more moderate tantrums. I was more worried about if something were to happen to set him off that I would not be able to calm him down. Well first day of school went very well. He did great. Second day………by the end of the day he was running around the room acting out Popeye the Sailor man and I’m stand there crying going “I just don’t know what to do!!!!!” sob, sob, sob. Imagine this… almost 6ft kid acting pulling out the spinach, ripping open the can, gobbling it down, growing out the muscles, pounding his chest, and one point on his hands and knees acting like the dog. Looking back now it was amazing, but at the moment I didn’t see the beauty in it. I wasn’t prepared. I had got ideas or control from his previous teacher, but they didn’t work! So what did I do? Cried. My other kids had saucers for eye balls and were like “What in the world is going on!?” Now that I am telling this story it is actually very comical. Luckily I have great help that helped redirect him and gave me a break. (I hadn’t had one for two days; no planning for me because we are short on interpreters, but that is another story.)
So on to my best day ever…the next day my kid-o comes in (after calling dad to see how they calm him at home) and says he is sorry for not listening and was great for the whole of the day, not one outburst! Actually all of my students were perfect. We had the best day ever! We sat in our seats, we paid attention, Mrs. Bryant felt good- not tired, lessons went perfect, and we learned a lot! We just had a really good day. I have to say one of my favorites of my career. Everything just flowed. It was extraordinary. It was the reason why I do what I do.
