Some pictures

This is what her dadyy lets her do when mommy is at work! :)Look at that face!
Just some pictures. Not much going on. This was the first full week were both of us were back at work and O'lena at the sitter's. It has been going great, but I officially have to say I was DONE on Friday. We went to mom's house for Kevyn's birthday Friday night and I fell asleep in front of the fire on the floor at 8:30. I was OUT. It is a lot of work working again :) Anyways....I think O'lena has grown a lot this week. She is looking more like a baby now and not a newborn. She is just cute!

Uncle Brannon and O'lena sleeping. I got him to change a diaper!

The birthday boys with grandma Cookie. I think this picture is great!
O'lena beana today in Uncle Kevyn's arms. I got him to change a diaper too. 2/3 boys. Bryan you are next!!!

Pictures not coming up?

Some people have been telling me that some of the pictures are not coming up. What to do: refresh the page or retry the website again. They should come up. Sorry about the technical problems.

Milestone Week!!

We have had a very big week this week! O'lena turned 2 months on Monday and we went to the dr for our check up. She is 10lb 7oz and 22 inches. The doc says she looks good. O'lena also got her shots. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. She cried more when the dr was examining her then when she was actually being poked. She didn't seem to react to them like some babies can. She wasn't cranky nor did she run a fever so that was good. She did......

SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! TWICE!!!!!
She slept through the night on Monday and I think that was from the shots. She slept through the night AGAIN last night, but I think it might be the baby cereal we put in her bottle. The dr told us to do that because she tends to choke alot. She will while eating and then at night while sleeping. The dr think it might be a little bit of reflex and told us to add the cereal at night and elevate her mattress on a little angle. It seemed to be working. On to night three :):):):) (knock on wood)

Other milestones: Mamma went back to work today- full time. (Yes, I am talking in the third person.) It was stinky. My students were great, but when I had down time all I did was miss my baby! Tomorrow should be better. O'lena will also go to meet the sitter for a few hours tomorrow too. I hope she likes her. She starts with her on Monday. That is going to be hard for me too. I trust the sitter but it is not the baby's mamma.
The biggest news...we bought tile!!! Yes, for the shower that is still not done. It was a real pain. The first place we went to was just awful. Then we went to Suncoast Tile. They rocked!! We are one step closer to a working shower!

Some cute pictures

Check out my bow!!
So being a devoted teacher (and one that like thing were they are suppose to be) I went to school on my day off this week (my sub was great, but my room was a mess.) Kevyn came to help me watch the baby. He is so good with her. She was just talking with him and trying to hit him with her little hand. It was soooooooo cute. I got some on video too. Do you like the new carpet? They had it laid when I was out. They did not ask my opinion.....

This is a picture of us this morning right before I left for work. She was so cute. Do you like her Mohawk? It did that all by itself. Just like daddy! Do you see that face!?! Awwww it just kills me!

Pictures from parents camera

Here are some great pictures from my parents camera!! Some are from when she was really little!!! Yeah, she is still little, but when she was first born or so. Start with my favorite..... Yeah this is what happens when mom and I go some where together and we let the BOYS watch her. They are turning her into a little gamer. Uncle Kevyn is really good with her. I think I might be able to get him to change a diaper one day. We shall see.....

I love this picture of my momma. Oma and O'lena!

Look how little she is here!! This was Christmas afternoon.

I thought this one was cute. Al just loves holding her. I think she kind of likes it too.She is little here. Only a week or so old, I think.

Grandma Cookie and O'lena. Yeah, just out the oven here too.

heheheheheehehehe!! I saw this among the 200 pictures I pulled off the parents camera and could not pass it up. Sorry Kev.

First outing that was not going to the doctor. I think she was 4 days old. Derick and the parents took her Christmas tree shopping while I slept. She was sooooooo cute!

Here she is with a tree. She is sooooo little! I forget already how little she was and she is still little now! Man, they grow sooooo fast!!

Well, I went back to work this week. It is going okay. I am working half days until Friday. Derick is going to work in the mornings and then coming home to watch her while I go to work in the afternoons. Once I get there I am fine. The leaving and driving alone part is hard. Monday was really bad because I had a meeting after work and didn't get home after she went to bed. The other days haven't been so bad. I think Derick is enjoying the time with O'lena too. He really hasn't had alot of alone time with her until now. Next week I have off Monday and Tuesday (school holidays) and go back full time on Wednesday. Derick is going to take off Wed, Thurs, and Friday to watch her (all day.) The week after she is starting at the sitters. She also goes to the doctor's on Monday for her 2 month check up and I believe she gets bunches of shots. I am not looking forward to that.

Speaking of work...we just found out today that our principal is leaving. I am not too happy about that because we haven't had him now for even two years and the transitions for new principals are really hard on everyone. I just hope we get someone that is good, in it for the kids, and want to stay for awhile. Our population of students can be hard to manage; rewarding, but hard.

OH! Other good fun...we booked our fight to Washington!!! I am so excited!!!! I am finally going to see where my man is from!!! I am exacted to meet the rest of the family, see all the places he talks about, and we may even head up to Canada. O'lena will be 7 months old, so I hope that will be an okay age to have her fly. I guess we will see, wont we?

Daddy and Daughter montage

Some great daddy and daughter pics. He had some good video too but it was not compatible with my computer. I may have to figure out some other way. This is Derick's ultra scientific and completely accurate way of determining if O'lena is hungry. If she eats his nose she is ready to eat! :)

Yes, he is my wolverine!
She was standing on most on her own! She has very strong legs and loves to kick and stretch them out.
In her lamb costume again. She was just laughing and cooing at him. I love the complete admiration on her face here. Nightly daddy bottle.

Yeah her onezie says "Cool. Like my dad!"

These are from Christmas but are kindof fun....

The goings ons here: Finally started to get into some kind of routine. Oh wait I go back to work next week.....grrr.....In the beginning I hated being home and missed worked like crazy; now I am just starting to like it and have to go back. Oh well, I guess that is how it goes.

O'lena turned 7 weeks today and is getting so big and responsive!!! She is really starting to interact with you. We can even get her to talk to us and smile at us. She will even copy our mouth movements. It is great! We think we have a sitter for her. A lady from the Methodist church is hopefully going to watch her. We should know for sure by the end of the week. She won't actually start for a couple more weeks because Derick and I are going to be taking turns off work for the next two weeks. I am so going to miss her during the day.....stop thinking about it Whitney.......

In other news:
Derick and I are both thinking about going back to school. Derick for engineering and I for Special Education. We know it will be hard with the baby and all, but it will just be one class at a time and still in the thinking "this might be interesting" stage. AND Because of D's job we can go for free and free is a good thing right now. We will see what will become of it.
What else????..... Nothing much...life is just going....last week to get EVERYTHING done that I havn't done in the last 7 weeks....yeha right!
