Stuff going on but not much at all!

There is always stuff going on, but nothing too exciting to be blogging about...the most significant and most important is my aunt (on my dad's side.) She is having heath issues, severely! We need all the prayers she can get. I can't say much because of family issues, but please, please pray for her and my family to be able to get through this hard time. She is young and needs all the encouragement and fight for life all of us in good heath have! I wish I could disclose more, but at the moment I cannot. Instead I can post a pick of Derick when he was 11 or 12. His mother sent us this. Actuall,y it was a picture with Josh and Rochel at their aunt's house, but I didn't want to post anything without their permission. It is a very cute picture. I think it is the first pic from when he was younger that I think he looks like himself now. Unlike myself, I have looked the same since 4th grade; I think this has the same face as he does now.

Speaking of Derick....so my man decided to practice his tiling before tackling the shower, which looks the same since i posted the last picture, has made this in the garage. I am in awww at what he can do. He thought the whole concept up and used all old scraps of tiles we had lying around in the attic. I have no doubts the shower will be fantastic. The red stuff around the out side is grout, we haven’t painted around it yet to make it look polished...that may be a while.

Though my project is going to be the kitchen for spring break, which starts the 4th for me!!! As I am writing this, tomorrow will be the last day before the break. And let me tell you, it is time for a break!! The kids are going loco and so are the teachers. I work with some life skill kids that need complete structure, this FCAT thing is really a mess for them. It does not work well for them, because as soon as i get back on track and everyone on schedule it is spring break and i have to start all over again when we get back....grrrrr. Anyways I am rambling...so I am going to texture wallpaper my kitchen this spring break and God willing, I will have it painted by the end. Theses are the testing pieces. What to you think? I am glad I tested because I have changed my mind and made plenty mistakes already. I may be on the phone with my mother in law by the weeks out because I hear she has wall paper experience. I have none

Derick has also left me all by myself for several days to go on a bachelor cruse with Rob (his best man in our wedding, who is getting married in June.) I am sure that is why you are hearing from me this evening. There is no one to speak to except the cat and I think sometimes he gets board with my ramblings :) I could go speak to the parents, but i think they are out this evening and it is getting late.

Latest news: Derick are still trying for a little one, but no such luck yet. I had a bit of a scare that i may not be ovulating, but the stick says I am. And the fact that D is gone in prime time this month it will probably not happen this time. Maybe next month :) BUT one of my close friends is prego and I am living vicariously through her! It has been quite fun! She has been great for allowing me to tell some people for her.

Oh and my mom cooked up some of the collards from our garden that our kids grew. You should have seen some of the faces we received. I have great pics, but I don’t want to post because of ethical/legal issues. Some kidoes thought they were great, others were not so thrilled. I thought they were great, a bit tough, but i think we left on the plant too long. It is looking like we will have another batch before the year is over. Did I tell you spring break starts tomorrow?!?! Well it does! :)

OH, I am just finishing springbreak. My goal was to deep clean the kitchen, organise it and such. I got about a quarter done. The wallpaper looks great! Yes, my mom has plenty of wallpapering experience. I hated helping her but she made us, we didn't have a choice. In retrospect, I am glad she forced us to clean, remodel and build. We have a lot of experience that a lot of people our age don't. She is a hard worker and such a good example to us.
