This is a poem I came across. I thought it was beautiful. I wanted to share.

If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time I felt your tender touch,
I would linger for a little while, enjoying the feeling so much.

If I knew it would be the last time I felt your tender touch,

If I knew it would be the last time that I heard your voice so sweet,
I would ask for more verses, repeat, repeat, repeat.

For surely there is always tomorrow to make up for today
and we'll always have a second chance to make things go our way.

There will always be another day to say "I love you",
And "Thank you" for the little things you do.

But just in case I might be wrong and today is all I get,
I would like to say how much I love you, and I hope you never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike,
So today may be the last chance I get to hold my loved ones tight.

Hold your loved ones close today and whisper in their ears,
Let them know you love them, and truly hold them dear.

Take time for a smile, a touch, a hug, a kiss,
or take an extra moment to grant a little wish.

If you are waiting for tomorrow, why not do it right away?
For if tomorrow never comes, you might truly regret today.
